Agbaya Linkup

Agbaya  Hangout

So my friends and I decided to hangout together after almost six months of not being together.
After going through the list of options we had, we settled for this.

So as to make it to the venue on time, we settled for the house of one of us who lived closest (we still got there late sha 😌) to the venue and off we went for the weekend πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ.

Now bear in mind that I am a super shy somewhat introverted individual, so my experiences may not sound as interesting and fun as they ought to.

After a great time in church and settling with food πŸ˜‹ I started to get dressed.
I have a rule of never going to an event without eating (I mean what if the food has finished by the time we arrive πŸ˜πŸ’).

But before I continue, some church pictures 😊

And now back to the previous gist, I got dressed.
You know how you have a great picture of how your outfit should look in your head and when you put it on you're seeing something else πŸ˜‘πŸ€¦‍♀️.  Yup, that was me.
Thank God it flopped (it rained continously immediately we arrived at the venue. Rain and the colour white are enemies πŸ˜’).

Anyways I picked another outfit and I was reluctant to wear it (because I already wore the dress to a previous outing and I really wanted to take pictures. I was thinking of the monitoring spirits that will mention that I repeated the dress but omo na me get my cloth and I will wear it a hundred times whenever I want 😌😏).

I got comfortable in the dress and had my make-up done.

Once everyone was set (three hours later πŸ™ƒ)

We ordered a ride (as we no get moto πŸ₯² )

Guess what taxify sent: a sienna big enough to carry all of us πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜.
It was hilarious because the driver called ahead to confirm if we were sure we wanted to take the ride. He mentioned again that he was driving a sienna. We laughed as asked him to come over (even though sienna dey give gbΓ³mo gbΓ³mo vibes).
Baba came and started lamenting about how terrible his day had been with people cancelling rides severally or refusing to enter the car once they see a sienna (before πŸ™„.Who wants to be kidnapped? If I wasn't going with a group of friends me sef I no go enter).

Anyways off we went. We arrived at the event 4 hours after it started (life happens πŸ˜’. Don't ask me why)
And then it started raining immediately we arrived 😭😭😭(remember the white outfit I wasn't feeling? God don already see say I go cry wella if it got dirty)

The race to stay under a shed, definitely not for the weak. As we were running to enter the venue, others we running out to get to their vehicles before the rain got heavy (at this point I was confused because I thought we arrived at the end of the event. Premium tears πŸ˜ͺ😭😭)
Alas, the event was just gearing up (thanks be to Jesus, our money did not waste 😞)

We got to the gate and bouncers refused to let us in (in the rain o πŸ™„. JΓ©sΓΉ sÑànu, owΓ³ ti jΓ³nΓ‘)
After a little shouting, our tickets were confirmed and we were let in. I ran o before they changed their mind (I would have started shouting for help if that happened sha. TorΓ pΓ© I did not travel to Lekki just to be told to go home)

Figured out where the party was holding and joined.
At this point I was hungry (almost 5 hours after my last meal, plus I just ran, please run me my food dear).
We got our meal and party packs and started to jolly around.
Yay πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

Did a little swinging, slides and I ran (I came second 😊 )

Overall the event was fun. I saw many old faces and connected with a few new people (to Jesus be the glory)

Will I love to go again?
Yes, sure (without the rain of course)
